The East Moline United Panthers will face off against the Plainfield Central Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. East Moline United is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

On Monday, East Moline United didn't have quite enough to beat Sycamore and fell 4-3.

Landon Skiles was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Carter Ramsey, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Plainfield Central faced off against Joliet West on Thursday. The Wildcats won by a run and slipped past the Tigers 4-3.

East Moline United's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-12. As for Plainfield Central, their win bumped their record up to 26-8.

East Moline United couldn't quite finish off Plainfield Central when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
