Baseball Recap: Incarnate Word Academy Comes Up Short

Incarnate Word Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Geneva Eagles, falling 13-3. If the Angels were looking for revenge after losing 8-2 to the Eagles when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kyle Owen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI. JT Lopez also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Incarnate Word Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Geneva, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

While Incarnate Word Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
