Bayside is 8-2 against Ocean Lakes since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bayside Marlins just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Ocean Lakes Dolphins at 7:00 p.m. Bayside knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Ocean Lakes likes a good challenge.

Bayside will bounce into Friday's match after beating Granby, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Bayside walked away with a 60-52 win over Granby on Thursday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Marlins' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Comets are ranked 114th).

Meanwhile, Ocean Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 35th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 69-51 bruising from Kempsville.

Bayside's win bumped their record up to 4-18. As for Ocean Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 0-20.

Everything went Bayside's way against Ocean Lakes in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Bayside made off with a 65-43 victory. Will Bayside repeat their success, or does Ocean Lakes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
