Baseball Game Preview: Woodland Hills Wolverines vs. Hempfield Area Spartans

For the second straight game, Woodland Hills will face off against Hempfield Area. The Wolverines will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. Woodland Hills has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 27.

Woodland Hills fell victim to Hempfield Area and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 15-0.

For Hempfield Area's part, Ian Kovalcik was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those three hits gave Kovalcik a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Polechko, who earned one RBI and two runs.

Hempfield Area was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Woodland Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Hempfield Area, they moved to 6-11 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.
