Softball Preview: Box Elder Bees vs. Maple Mountain Eagles

The Box Elder Bees will face off against the Maple Mountain Eagles at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Box Elder will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Box Elder is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They didn't even let Cyprus on the board, marking the Bees' second-straight 15-0 shutout. Considering the Bees have won 17 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kennadie Blackmer was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Izibel Mason was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Quincey LIsh was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
