It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Long Beach Poly can now relate to. They fell just short of the Monache Marauders by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Jackrabbits' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Kween Tauala was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Emoni Lam Sam, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Long Beach Poly's defeat dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Monache, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6-1 record this season.

Long Beach Poly does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monache, they will take on Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Marauders 2.5, the Patriots 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
