Basketball Recap: Sports Leadership & Management Comes Up Short

Sports Leadership & Management lost against Somerset Academy Key back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sports Leadership & Management Giants took a blow against the Somerset Academy Key Lions, falling 76-34. The game marked the Giants' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Sports Leadership & Management's loss came despite strong showings from Diego Gonzalez and Mason Plewinski. Gonzalez almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds, while Plewinski posted 16 points. Gonzalez has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more boards the last ten times he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Sports Leadership & Management and nudges their season record down to 6-8. As for Somerset Academy Key, they moved to 7-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Sports Leadership & Management wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 75-29 win against Village Academy on the 15th. Somerset Academy Key has also already played their next matchup, a 64-37 victory against Katz Yeshiva on the 15th.
