Football Recap: Guilderland Comes Up Short

Guilderland extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 4-4. They came up short against the Colonie Central Wolfpack, falling 35-15. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for Colonie Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.0 points over those games.

Steven Thomas was his usual excellent self, rushing for 79 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 124 yards on eight of 14 attempts.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Guilderland is set to challenge their familiar foe Shaker at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Colonie Central will face off against rival Christian Brothers Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
