Baseball Recap: Roger Bacon Comes Up Short

Roger Bacon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 9-2 to the Beavercreek Beavers.

Roger Bacon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Rosenfeldt, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Roger Bacon's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Beavercreek, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roger Bacon will host Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Beavercreek, they will welcome Chaminade Julienne Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last seven games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
