Basketball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central lost to Glencoe-Silver Lake back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Raiders were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 70-69 to the Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Panthers are ranked 75th).

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Glencoe-Silver Lake, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

Central has already played their next game, a 55-47 loss against Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted on the 13th. As for Glencoe-Silver Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-71 victory against Rockford on the 12th.
