Volleyball Recap: Hilton Head Christian Academy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hilton Head Christian Academy can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinal Newman Cardinals on Friday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Eagles haven't been shut out since back in September.

Emily Cantey was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had nine digs and three aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last seven contests.

Hilton Head Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 22-14-2. As for Cardinal Newman, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 42-9 record this season.

Hilton Head Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Ben Lippen on the 25th. As for Cardinal Newman, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Northside Christian Academy on the 25th.
