Basketball Game Preview: Maurepas Wolves vs. Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets

Maurepas is on a four-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, Mt. Hermon an 11-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Maurepas Wolves will host the Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Thursday, Maurepas had to suffer through a 49-11 loss at the hands of St. Charles Catholic.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-29, which was the final score in Mt. Hermon's tilt against Varnado back in December of 2024.

Mt. Hermon's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Maurepas, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Maurepas was able to grind out a solid win over Mt. Hermon when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 42-33. Will Maurepas repeat their success, or does Mt. Hermon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
