Softball Recap: Highland Comes Up Short

Highland blew Columbus out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Columbus got their revenge. The Huskies fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-5. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2019.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Columbus, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coincidentally, Highland and Columbus will both be playing West Burlington the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Falcons on Saturday, while the Huskies will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
