Basketball Recap: McAllen Memorial Takes a Loss

McAllen Memorial was the 59-38 winner over Rockport-Fulton when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs took a 53-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates on Friday. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

McAllen Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Rockport-Fulton, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Looking ahead, McAllen Memorial will challenge Edinburg North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs' defense better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 53.6 points per game this season. As for Rockport-Fulton, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Tournament Opponent on Saturday.
