Volleyball Recap: Houston Takes a Loss

Houston lost against Plainview-Elgin-Millville back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hurricanes fell 2-0 to the Bulldogs.

Houston was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 17 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17.

Jorja Meyer paced Houston's offense, picking up four kills. Meyer got some help from Olivia Yohe and her ten assists.

Houston has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Plainview-Elgin-Millville, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Houston has already played their next contest (against Glenville-Emmons), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Plainview-Elgin-Millville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Triton at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
