Football Recap: Benjamin Franklin Takes a Loss

Benjamin Franklin had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-6 to make it four. They had to suffer through a 67-22 loss at the hands of the Willow Lions. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

As for Willow, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The matchup marked their most dominant victory of the season.

Kaiden Thomas was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 446 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 16.5 yards per attempt, and also punched in one rushing score. His passing game has become a key predictor of Willow's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Mark Rhodes Jr. handled things on the ground, rushing for 81 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Benjamin Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Willow, they will welcome Sarah T. Reed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Olympians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
