Softball Game Preview: Jarrell Cougars vs. Burnet Bulldogs

Jarrell is 0-9 against Burnet since March of 2021 but things could change on Friday. Jarrell is taking a road trip to challenge Burnet at 7:00 p.m. Jarrell has given up an average of 11.3 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Jarrell's offense. They came up short against Salado on Tuesday, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Cougars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Burnet posted their closest victory since February 21st on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Lampasas 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won three games in a row.

Jarrell's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14-2. As for Burnet, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9-1.

Jarrell might still be hurting after the 15-4 loss they got from Burnet in their previous matchup on March 4th. Can Jarrell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
