Softball Recap: Houston Comes Up Short

Houston lost against Pontotoc back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Houston Hilltoppers came up short against the Pontotoc Warriors, falling 11-1. The match marked the Hilltoppers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Houston is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7. As for Pontotoc, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Houston will be playing at home against Starkville at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pontotoc, they will be taking part in a tournament against East Webster at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Pontotoc is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
