Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Atlantis

Atlantis entered their tilt with Brooke on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Senators 12-2. Atlantis might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Anthony Furtado made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Wayne Yost, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and three RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joey Morais, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Atlantis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Atlantis now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Brooke, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Atlantis will challenge Westport at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Brooke does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
