Ballston Spa has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Chatham has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Scotties will host the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Ballston Spa's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Chatham's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Wednesday just wasn't the day for Ballston Spa's offense. They lost 8-0 to Niskayuna on Wednesday. The Scotties haven't had much luck with the Silver Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Ballston Spa got a good showing from Jameson Hotaling, who tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Hotaling has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
Meanwhile, Chatham unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 9-6 to Hudson. Panthers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bluehawks since on Tuesday.
Brayden Steltz put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent over his last five contests. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Owen Wilber made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Bronson Haner was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases.
Chatham's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Ballston Spa, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
Ballston Spa came out on top in a nail-biter against Chatham when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 9-7. Will the Scotties repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
