Softball Recap: Fairview Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cathedral Prep on Thursday, Fairview came back down to earth. The Tigers took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northwestern Wildcats on Tuesday. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Fairview's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Northwestern, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fairview will face off against rival Conneaut Area at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Northwestern is set to challenge their familiar foe Cathedral Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
