Football Preview: Cardinal Mooney Cougars vs. Specially Fit Academy Rams        
        
		
             Cardinal Mooney has won eight straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Specially Fit Academy has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much  on Friday. The Cardinal Mooney Cougars will take on the Specially Fit Academy Rams at 7:00  p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Last Tuesday, Cardinal Mooney made easy work of Lakewood  and carried off  a  40-16 win. Given the Cougars' advantage  in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings  (they are ranked 18th, while the Spartans are ranked 174th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
  Connail Jackson and  Devin Mignery were among the main playmakers for Cardinal Mooney as the former rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries and the latter threw for 132 yards and three touchdowns on only eight passes. The team also got some help courtesy of  Rymen Mosley, who gained 69 total yards and two touchdowns.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Cardinal Mooney was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 289  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 244  rushing yards in six consecutive  matchups.
 Cardinal Mooney's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB  six times. The heavy lifting was done by  Blake Roulund and  Elijah Golden, who racked up  four sacks between them.
 Meanwhile, Specially Fit Academy got themselves on the board against Avon Park on Friday, but Avon Park never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Red Devils 56-0 on the road. That 56 point margin sets a new team best for the Rams this season.
 Cardinal Mooney's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Specially Fit Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
