Football Recap: Jamarcus Harrison's Big Game Can't Quite Lead East Hall over Oglethorpe County

East Hall blew Oglethorpe County out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Oglethorpe County got their revenge. The Vikings fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 30-27. The Vikings gained 88 more yards on the day, but it was the Patriots that made the best use of them.

East Hall lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jamarcus Harrison, who threw for 228 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 45 yards. Another player making a difference was Lukas Pruitt, who rushed for 105 yards and one TD.

Zion Pass was a one-man wrecking crew For Oglethorpe County. as he rushed for 146 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries. Pass really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run. Caden Hartrum was in the mix too, providing Oglethorpe County with two touchdowns.

East Hall's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Oglethorpe County, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Hall will venture away from home to square off against Johnson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Oglethorpe County, they will head out to face off against Washington-Wilkes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
