            Sage Creek is 1-8 against Carlsbad since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The Bobcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lancers  at 4:00  p.m.
La Costa Canyon hit Sage Creek with a five-run seventh inning  on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bobcats lost  13-4 to the Mavericks.
 Sage Creek saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Lola Carson, who  went 2-for-4 with one  run and one  double.  Kaimana Coleman was another,  going 3-for-4 with one  run.
Meanwhile, Carlsbad came into Friday's   match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Westview by a score of  6-3  on Friday.
 Sofia Tillis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Kendall Rivera, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run and five  RBI. Those  five  RBI gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Autumn Muro, who  went 2-for-4 with one  run and one  RBI.
 Sage Creek's loss dropped their record down to 9-9-1. As for Carlsbad, their win bumped their record up to 3-12.
