Basketball Recap: Valley Union Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Douglas, Valley Union was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They snuck past the Baboquivari Warriors with a 29-25 win. While the Blue Devils didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Kylee Gilbreth produced another solid performance putting up 13 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Yahirtza Ibarra was another key player, posting three points and 16 boards.

Valley Union smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in six consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
