Football Recap: Milpitas Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Milpitas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 25-7 to the Sequoia Ravens. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Jonah Mati threw for 165 yards and one touchdown. Jelani North was his top target, picking up 95 receiving yards and one TD.

Sequoia was led to victory by Nolan Fausto and Luke Ostrander. Fausto gained 215 total yards, while Ostrander rushed for 58 yards and three scores on only eight carries. The dominant performance also gave Fausto a new career-high in rushing yards (167).

Milpitas now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Sequoia, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Coming up, Milpitas will host Woodside at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th. The Wildcats' defense has only allowed 8.2 points per game this season, so the Trojans' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Sequoia, they will venture away from home to take on Carlmont at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th. The Ravens will be up against the Scots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
