Baseball Recap: Drury Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Drury waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Mount Everett Regional Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-4 back in April.

JJ Prenguber made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other pitching news, Connor Hinkell looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Prenguber wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Hamilton, who went 2-for-4 with two runs. That's the most runs Hamilton has posted since back in April.

Drury's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Mount Everett Regional, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Coming up, Drury will be playing in front of their home fans against Taconic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mount Everett Regional, they will head out on the road to take on Housatonic-Lakeview at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
