Softball Preview: Loretto Mustangs vs. Lewis County Panthers        
        
		
            
 Loretto is 5-0 against Lewis County since April of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Monday. The Loretto Mustangs will head out on the road to  take on  the Lewis County Panthers at 5:00  p.m. Loretto's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6  runs per game  this season, so Lewis County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
 On Friday, Loretto came up short against South Gibson  and fell  8-3.
 Loretto saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kiersten Randell, who  went 1-for-2 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Lewis County fell victim to Summertown and their airtight pitching crew  on Tuesday. Their  rough  7-0 loss to the Eagles  might stick with them for a while. Lewis County just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
 Loretto's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Lewis County, they now  have a losing record at 6-7.
 Loretto took their  win against Lewis County  in their previous meeting  back in March by a conclusive  11-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Loretto since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
