Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Goliad). They came out on top against the McAllen Memorial Mustangs by a score of 10-7 on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Cy Henke was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Barrett Irwin, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Goliad's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for McAllen Memorial, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Goliad wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Orange Grove on the 28th. As for McAllen Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-8 victory against Alice on the 27th.
