Baseball Recap: Gilbert Gets the Win

While Gilbert's win against North Polk wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Comets 10-9 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted against the Comets since July 2, 2020.

The win made it two in a row for Gilbert and bumps their season record up to 5-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for North Polk, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Gilbert wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-4 win against Carroll on the 4th. North Polk has also already played their next contest (against Clarke), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
