Soccer Game Preview: Northeast vs. Kirkwood

The Northeast Eagles will square off against the Kirkwood Cobras at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Thursday, neither Northeast nor Todd County Central could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

The Eagles' goal came courtesy of Janelle Roland, who's now up to eight this season.

Meanwhile, Kirkwood's contest on Thursday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. Their defense stepped up to hand Cheatham County Central a 5-0 shutout. Kirkwood might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by three goals or more this season.

Kirkwood's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those three matchups. Northeast's draw makes their record 3-5-3 this season.
