Volleyball Recap: Canistota Takes a Loss

Canistota lost against McCook Central/Montrose back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hawks lost 3-0 to the Fighting Cougars. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-12, 25-16.

McCook Central/Montrose's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ella DeKnikker led the charge by getting five digs and five aces. Those five aces gave DeKnikker a new career-high.

Canistota's loss dropped their record down to 7-19. As for McCook Central/Montrose, their victory bumped their record up to 11-13.

Canistota wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Freeman on the 27th. As for McCook Central/Montrose, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Hanson on the 27th.
