Riverdale and Willow are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Rebels will welcome the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Riverdale is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Mandeville just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Skippers, falling 15-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rebels have suffered since March 11th.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Willow). They put the hurt on Plaquemine with a sharp 17-5 victory on Saturday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lions needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

The team relied heavily on Carter Ptak, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

Willow always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .596. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Riverdale's loss dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Willow, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

Everything went Riverdale's way against Willow in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Riverdale made off with a 13-6 win. Do the Rebels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
