Softball Game Preview: Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors vs. Evangel Christian Lightning

The Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors will challenge the Evangel Christian Lightning at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Tuscaloosa Home Educators fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Evangel Christian two weeks ago but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lightning by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Lightning: they've now lost seven in a row.

For Evangel Christian's part, their victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Willa Bedsole, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Another was Raylee Evans, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

The win (which was Evangel Christian's fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
