Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-34 last Saturday.

Despite the loss, Gridley still got an impressive performance from Luis Murillo, who went 10-for-15 on his way to 23 points and three steals. What's more, Murillo also posted a 67% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2023. Gus Stogsdill was another key player, shooting 56% from the field to rack up 12 points and six boards.

The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points over those games. As for University Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-8 record this season.
