Flag Football Recap: King's Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Jessica Kim and Mia Bennette

If King's Academy was riding high fresh off their 36-12 takedown of Mercy last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 35-18 to the Priory Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 34-33 on October 1st.

King's Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Mia Bennette, who rushed for 121 yards and one score on only 11 carries, and Jessica Kim, who picked up 84 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Even if they lost, King's Academy's defensive line still kept up the pressure with six sacks. Ayeanna Nelson was especially locked on to Priory's QB and sacked her 4.5 times.

King's Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Priory, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

As of now, neither King's Academy nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
