There's no place like home for Lakeland, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in March. They had just enough and edged out the Sandpoint Bulldogs 13-12. This was a revenge game for the Hawks: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in March, they had to take a 9-8 defeat.

Reece Dutton was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Kiersten Drake, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Dutton wasn't the only one making solid contact: Lakeland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive games.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-5. As for Sandpoint, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lakeland beat the Bulldogs by a score of 13-3 later that day.
