Volleyball Recap: Menomonie Comes Up Short

Menomonie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the New Richmond Tigers, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, 25-16.

Jordan Ohman paced Menomonie's offense, picking up seven kills. Ohman got some help from Hannah Tireman and her 12 assists.

Menomonie's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for New Richmond, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Menomonie and Chippewa Falls will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Richmond has already played their next matchup (against Cadott), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
