Lake Zurich came tearing into Friday's game with 11 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Hersey Huskies by a score of 2-0. For the Bears, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Huskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Wyatt Jones paced Lake Zurich's offense, picking up eight kills. Jones really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with 11. Gabe Schwartz and Dominic Genovese kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Lake Zurich's victory bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Hersey, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-12.

Lake Zurich wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Glenbrook North on the 9th. As for Hersey, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Oak Park-River Forest on the 9th.
