Softball Recap: Coast Union Takes a Loss

Coast Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves, falling 18-12. The Broncos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Teagan Kennedy was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs while going 4-for-4. Violetta Garcia was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-5.

Even though they lost, Coast Union was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .405. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Coast Union's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, they moved to 1-1 with that win, which also ended their 11-game losing streak.

Coast Union didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 26-18 victory against Shandon on the 14th. Wonderful College Prep Academy has also already played their next game (against Granite Hills), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
