Basketball Recap: Ridgeview Comes Up Short

Ridgeview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Tremont Turks, falling 53-32. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 461st, while the Turks are ranked 135th).

Ridgeview's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Tremont, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Ridgeview and Cornerstone Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Tremont and Peoria Heights will round out the year against one another at at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tremont is facing Peoria Heights at the right time seeing as Peoria Heights is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
