Softball Recap: Avalon Comes Up Short

Avalon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Corona del Mar Sea Kings, falling 12-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sea Kings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-2 on Saturday.

Avalon's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Corona del Mar, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Avalon will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Samueli Academy on the 18th. As for Corona del Mar, they will challenge Fountain Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
