Baseball Recap: Greenup County's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Greenup County came into Tuesday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Lewis County Lions by a score of 11-7 on Tuesday. The Musketeers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Greenup County got a big performance out of Sawyer Hatfield, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Hatfield has become a key player for the Musketeers: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Roy, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Greenup County now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Lewis County, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Greenup County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
