Baseball Game Preview: Delcastle Technical Cougars vs. Middletown Cavaliers

Delcastle Technical hasn't had much luck against Middletown recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cougars will host the Cavaliers at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Delcastle Technical is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came up short against Christiana on Friday, falling 17-6.

Miguel Burgos made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.

Middletown couldn't beat William Penn on Thursday even though they stacked ten runs on them in the first inning. The Cavaliers lost 23-12 to the Colonials. Even if the Cavaliers couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Delcastle Technical's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Middletown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8-1.

Delcastle Technical might still be hurting after the 24-0 defeat they got from Middletown when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
