Baseball Recap: Wooster Has No Trouble Against South Tahoe

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Summit, Wooster was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the South Tahoe Vikings with a sharp 11-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Colts considering their two-run performance the match before.

Chris Ballard spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Edgar Nunez Montano, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He has become a key player for Wooster: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-6-1 otherwise.

Wooster kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Tahoe only managed two hits.

The win got Wooster back to even at 6-6-1. As for South Tahoe, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Wooster wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against North Valleys on the 5th. As for South Tahoe, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-2 win against Sparks on the 4th.
