Ware Shoals won the last time they faced Whitmire and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Ware Shoals Hornets really took it to the Whitmire Wolverines for the full four quarters, racking up a 45-15 win. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 23 points or more this season.

Ware Shoals' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tailynn Smith, who posted 12 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Stella Eichhorn, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds.

Despite the loss, Whitmire still got an impressive performance from Trystan Samples, who had eight points along with five boards and three blocks. Samples has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played.

The win was the third in a row for Ware Shoals, bringing their record for this year to 9-10. As for Whitmire, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-17.

Ware Shoals wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 53-23 victory against GREEN Upstate on the 6th. As for Whitmire, they will take on Thornwell at 6:00 p.m. on February 12th.
