The Orosi Cardinals will challenge the Woodlake Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
It was a proper cat-fight when Orosi faced off against Corcoran on Friday. The Cardinals breezed past the Panthers to the tune of 41-13. The Cardinals pushed the score to 34-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers had little chance of recovering from.

| 10/09/25 @ Granite Hills | 2 |
| 10/03/25 vs Strathmore | 3 |

| 09/19/25 @ Farmersville | 4 |
Jason De La Cruz had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 197 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last five games he's played.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Orosi was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 265 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Corcoran only rushed for 12.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Woodlake over Farmersville in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Tigers blew the Aztecs out of the water with a 41-6 final score.
Woodlake had a senior duo take command as Jose Rodriguez rushed for 165 yards and one TD while picking up 10.3 yards per carry and Aldo Rodriguez threw for 141 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 165 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Jose.
Woodlake's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB six times. It was truly a group effort as Adrian Ortega, Cayden Wallace, and Ruben Palafox picked up two apiece.
Orosi is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.4 points over those games. As for Woodlake, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Orosi has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 301.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Woodlake struggles in that department as they've been averaging 187.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Orosi was dealt a bruising 43-3 loss at the hands of Woodlake in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Cardinals, Xavier Contreras (who rushed for 43 yards and a pair of scores, and also caught one TD) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
