Parkview Baptist typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Brusly proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Eagles. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.

Abigail Heidbrink spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, LillyRose Albarez was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Zoe Fabre was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Brusly's victory bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Parkview Baptist, their loss dropped their record down to 22-4.

Looking ahead, Brusly will take on Cecilia at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.09 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Parkview Baptist, they will face off against French Settlement at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
