Sunrise Mountain entered their tilt with Southeast Career Tech on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Roadrunners 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Miners: when they faced off against the Roadrunners back in March, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Sunrise Mountain never let Southeast Career Tech on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, 26-24.

Camron Egbo Cruz paced Sunrise Mountain's offense, picking up nine kills. Egbo Cruz got some help from Jayonie Pace and his 18 assists. Pace was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

When it comes to explaining why Southeast Career Tech lost, don't look at Joe Philavanh. Despite the final result, he had three digs and one block. Philavanh is also crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 18 every time he's taken the court this season.

The victory got Sunrise Mountain back to even at 11-11. As for Southeast Career Tech, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-19.
