Softball Recap: Wheeling Park Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wheeling Park can now relate to. They fell 11-8 to the John Marshall Monarchs on Thursday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Brenna Tipton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Alivia West, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Wheeling Park's loss dropped their record down to 13-16. As for John Marshall, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Wheeling Park nor John Marshall have any future games scheduled.
